The Edvard Munch exhibition held at the Arts Center was an exhibition that showcased Munch's artistic exploration through various styles of works.
In particular, through the various versions of 'The Scream', I was able to gain a new understanding of the meaning of the work, and I admired Munch's perseverance and artistic challenges.
After viewing the exhibition, there is also a goods shop, so I hope you will have a pleasant time along with viewing the exhibition.

📢 Before we get into the review, please be aware that the following content may contain spoilers.
Arts Center: Taken directly
First, I headed to the Seoul Arts Center to see the exhibition.
Even though I went on a weekday afternoon, there were quite a few people there.
To properly view each piece, I had to follow the line and move slowly.
I went with an acquaintance, and it took us about an hour. We didn't spend a long time looking at each piece.
While viewing the exhibition, the air conditioning was blasting, and I started to feel cold. I recommend bringing a long-sleeved shirt.
I went in June, but I think they might still have the air conditioning on.
Entrance of the exhibition
I bought my ticket at the ticket booth right next to the entrance.
I didn't have to wait, but they are offering online booking discounts now, so I recommend booking in advance.
There's also a photo booth near the entrance where you can take four-cut photos, so keep that in mind!
Munch's works
While viewing the artwork, I initially assumed I'd only see pieces similar to 'The Scream,' which I was familiar with. However, I was able to see a wide range of artistic styles. I came to realize that Munch was an artist who, while influenced by various environments, continuously sought new challenges.
Although I didn't take pictures, I was able to see artwork that demonstrated the numerous test pieces involved in creating a single finished piece. It's easy to become discouraged and give up when repeatedly painting the same picture, but I wanted to applaud his perseverance.
<The Scream> Color Print
Towards the end of the exhibition, you encounter works familiar to us.
However, instead of the familiar version, you get to see a slightly different version of <The Scream>.
I learned that there were various versions of The Scream. I had only known the artwork, but through the exhibition, I gained insight into its meaning. Through the interpretation, I realized that ordinary landscapes can be perceived differently depending on the circumstances.
Munch's words
This concludes my visit to the exhibition, and I'm writing this review because I was deeply impressed by Munch's final words.
It felt as if life's dust and a few holes make it even more complete.
I think the dust and holes could symbolize life's hardships, storms, and mistakes.
After the exhibition, there's a section where they sell merchandise, so be sure to check it out before you leave. That concludes my review!
